KANZU Research: Resilient Built Environment led by Assoc. Prof. Sr. Dr. Noralfishah Sulaiman and our Principal Investigator from THINKLab, University of Salford, Prof. Terrence Fernando has visited few key agencies such as Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM), MET Malaysia, Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia (JMG), PLANMalaysia, Melaka Historic Council City (MBMB) and UTHM Resilient 4WRD: Resilient & Agile Cities for Future in the state of Johor.
Apart from that, KANZU Research and all the agencies also discuss how to strengthen research networking in construction and built environment research agenda, particularly on Digital Disaster Risk Reduction (DDRR), Sustainable Transportation, Transit Oriented Development (ToD), applying international research grants such as from APEC countries and other funding agencies from UK and EU.
During our visit to CREAM, we have a broad discussion with Ts Dr Hj Mohd Khairolden Ghani regarding our collaboration and the way forward.
During our visit and meeting with MET Malaysia, we are discussing the relationship between climate and disaster for future consideration in decisionmaking and how climate influence disaster.
While during our visit to JMG, we are discussing on smart partnerships looking into the advancement of digital technology for improved risk measurement. Community empowerment was also discussed.
